Auto-convert behaviour
Two policies in the market: convert-to-GBP-on-deposit (Cosmobet default), or hold-in-crypto (others). The convert-on-deposit policy locks in the GBP value at deposit time -- a BTC deposit at GBP 50,000/BTC stays worth GBP 1 of credit per BTC-worth-of-pennies even if BTC moves to GBP 80,000 during play. The hold-in-crypto policy means a winning session can compound on BTC appreciation, but a losing session can compound on BTC depreciation.
Stablecoin handling under de-peg
USDT briefly de-pegged to USD 0.95 in March 2023. Operator handling differed. Velobet's hourly oracle re-check froze cashier flows for 90 minutes during the de-peg event then resumed at the new spot rate. Cosmobet held cashier flows at 1:1 for the duration, absorbing the 5% mark-to-market loss. Both responses are defensible; the player needs to know which one their operator runs.
Network choice for USDT
Three USDT networks at offshore brands: TRC-20 (Tron, ~GBP 0.50 fee), ERC-20 (Ethereum, GBP 8-25 fee), BEP-20 (Binance Smart Chain, ~GBP 0.20 fee). TRC-20 dominates the offshore cashier flow. ERC-20 is supported but expensive. BEP-20 is supported at Rolletto and Velobet only.
